How It works

In- home euthanasia is becoming more sought after in hope that as a pet owner, we can  give our pet the most peaceful ending to a beautiful journey that they have traveled with us.  The wonderful aspects of an in home euthanasia appointment include significantly lower stress for the pet,  more comfortable for pets and owners, more time to spend stress free with your pet and easier logistics for pet owners trying to get larger and/or immobile pets into a car for traveling to a clinic.

Once your appointment is scheduled, we will arrive within 10 -15 minutes of our scheduled time.  We strongly encourage you to spend as much time with your pet prior to us arriving and if they are eating, its very helpful have their favorite treat on hand!  We will then briefly review what the process will look like as well as confirm cremation choices.  We will then give your pet a small injection to help them relax and fall asleep, ensuring that the remainder of the process will be as painless as possible.  Once your pet is asleep, we administer the euthanasia medication. You may stay close to your pet throughout the entire process. You can expect the entire appointment to last about 1 hour.

We also work very closely with a local pet cremation service (Faithful Companion) who will provide compassionate after-care for your pet.  After euthanasia is performed, your pet will be taken to their facility and if you have chosen to have ashes returned, they will be delivered to your home within 24 hours.
