1. How do I know when it’s time to say goodbye?

Pet owners often look for changes in mobility, appetite, comfort, breathing, and overall quality of life. I can help assess your pet’s condition and guide you through this decision. Please visit our "Is It Time" page for further resources on this topic.

2. What happens during an in-home euthanasia appointment?

The visit is calm, private, and un-rushed. Your pet will receive a gentle sedative first, allowing them to fall into a peaceful sleep before the final medication is given. We will also collect memorial items such as ink prints and hair clippings.

3. Will my pet feel any pain?

No. Your pet is fully sedated and comfortable before euthanasia. The process is peaceful and designed to minimize stress for both pets and family members. The only time your pet may feel something is during the first injection (sedation). If your pet is eating, we love to distract them with all of the tasty treats during the first injection. If they are not interested in food, we still take every step to minimize any pain or discomfort they may feel by giving the medication in a less sensitive area and going slow and gentle.

4. How long does the appointment take?

Most visits last 30–60 minutes, depending on your pet’s needs and how much time you’d like before and after the procedure.

5. Can my family be present?

Absolutely. You can be with your pet the entire time, and you’re welcome to include anyone you feel should be there.

6. What should I do to prepare for the appointment?

Choose a quiet, comfortable space where your pet feels relaxed. Have their favorite blanket, bed, or toys nearby if you wish. You may also have their favorite food or treat on hand as well.

7. Do you offer cremation or aftercare services?

Yes. I can help arrange private or communal cremation and handle all transportation.

8. What should I expect after my pet passes?
You’ll have as much time as you need with your pet. When you’re ready, I will take care of aftercare arrangements with compassion and dignity.
